Chillin’ Out in the New Year

by Scott Noelle

This Revue covers two weeks of postings, so in addition to the 10 latest Grooves listed below, there are two followup Q&A articles for your reading pleasure:

Danger Isn’t Wrong — You can teach safety without demonizing danger.

Acceptance vs. Tolerance: An Example — How to harness the power of acceptance, with or without tolerance.  Bonus: My friend and fellow parent educator Michelle Charfen created a groovy infographic based on the four combinations of acceptance and tolerance I wrote about.

With all these ideas about letting go of judgments and resistance, you might want to add “CTFO” to your acronym collection and text it to yourself whenever your stress alarms go off. :)

Recommended for New Yorkers: On January 28th, come to Peter Gray’s presentation, Education Evolved. Get details and tickets here. I’ll be there and would love to meet any Daily Groovers in attendance. (Just say HI!)

Stay tuned for more details about my upcoming trip to Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, Asheville, Charlotte, and St. Petersburg.
